TYPE: - Cockatiel found
WHERE: - 3500 Military
WHEN: - Monday 01/18/10

UPDATE 02/02/10
The bird was placed in a home of someone who recently lost their cockatiel.

Sent by a resident from 3500 Military

To our Westside Neighbors: At around 3:00PM on Monday (MLK Day), the stormy wind blew (whatappears to be) a healthy adult cockatiel into our yard. It was extremely cold out, and the bird was shivering from the wind. Our dogs saw the bird huddled on a ledge outside of our kitchen, and brought the bird to our attention. We were able to entice it to perchon my hand with an offer of bird seed, and it is now living in animpromptu cage in our kitchen. We know that cockatiels can really bond with their owners, so we are anxious to reunite this bird with its home.
