Westwood Disaster Preparedness Fair 10/15

This coming Saturday, 10/15, from 12:00-4:00pm, the Westwood Neighborhood Council and several City Departments are sponsoring a very unique family friendly disaster fair at the Westwood Public Library..This will be a one-stop shop for not just learning about disaster preparedness, but also for doing something about it.
Included are stations where you can practice first aid, use practice fire extinguishers, learn to care for pets and speak with representatives from the DWP, the Gas Company, CERT, LAFD and LAPD. Also, there will be disaster preparedness presentations, a number of emergency vehicles, a puppet show for children, and the fair's highlight, an earthquake simulator.
