(KTLA) — Police evacuated an apartment building in Culver City Wednesday morning after finding possible explosives inside a unit. culver-city-picThe bomb squad was at the scene in the 3800 block of Overland Avenue. It all began when Culver City police conducted a traffic stop for an unknown reason, according to preliminary reports. Something about the traffic stop led police to search the driver’s apartment. They discovered what authorities characterized as about a dozen pipe bombs inside the apartment. Residents were evacuated while the the bomb squad checked out the devices. Police expected to be at the scene for several hours.
