Auto Burglary

TYPE: Auto Burglary
WHERE: 3100/3200 block of Kelton Avenue
WHEN: sometime during the night of July 31
SUSPECTS: -
CHARACTERISTICS: The car was parked on the street in front of the car owner's home and the owner discovered the break-in at 7:30AM the next morning. The rear driver side window was smashed in. The car alarm did not trigger because the door was not actually opened. Rather whoever was breaking into the car was doing it by reaching into the smashed window.

The only thing missing was a fold-up seat (used for support for bleacher seating) which was behind the driver's seat. The owner said that looking through the window from outside of the car could have mistaken the fold-up seat for a briefcase.

Reminder: If you are interested in attending this class and have not already done so, please reserve your space!

Preparedness and first aid instructor Howard Burkhart presents “Disaster Preparedness as You've Never Seen it Before", which he subtitles "the good, the bad, and the ugly of supplies." Howard has over 25 years of in-the-trenches experience as an Emergency Medical Technician, volunteer disaster worker and member of the L.A. County Disaster Medical Assistance Team. He names names, showing us which disaster preparedness products are best, which to avoid, and how to shop for maximum value. He will bring examples and promises the inside scoop on stocking up for survival. You might want to bring note-taking materials!
